It's Dead

Help! My iPod died. Kaput. No response. What do I do? It's less than six months old. It was bought through Amazon, I think, not Apple.

I . . . Can't . . . Live . . . Without . . . It.

UPDATE: I reset it. I don't know if it's working yet. Maybe it got stuck? I'm on my knees begging the great Jobs in the sky that it works . . .

UPDATE 2: It seems to be working. Okay. Breathe. Breathe.

UPDATE 3: You don't care, do you?

UPDATE 4: I don't think we should see each other anymore. If you can't empathize with me over my problems then I don't think we're compatible.

UPDATE 5: An iPod is important. Just go.

UPDATE 6: It's not me. It's you.

as long as you have the reciept, you should be able to take it to the local mac store (west county or galleria) to get it fixed under warranty. or you could also call apple care if you don't feel like waiting 2 hours to see a person at the genius bar. although the mac genius guys are nice guys.

i completely understand the inability to live without the iPod.

  2. THis has happened to me three times. Just bring the receipt and the broken iPod to the Galleria Apple Store; they'll hook you up.

Oh, and splash out for AppleCare.

  3. It's okay, take a deep breath. I care, I just didn't read the blog until now.

Thanks for the support and advice. The reset did actually work. It appears that it was stuck in "hold". The reset is sticking. But I'll be getting Apple Care before it has a chance to hurt me again.

  5. Oh, Gary! We DO care! Really, we do! It pained me to read that first part. I began to breathe easier when I read that YOU did...Truly.

Of course, not enough to spring for a new one should this one have NOT started working again, but still.
