Tour of Missouri

Route has been announced. Huzzah.

Interesting. A time trial in Branson, of all places. Huh. I wonder how they'll react to that. Branson seems like a bunch sprint type of town. Columbia would be more of a TT type of town.

I'll go to the St. Louis stage, of course. Though a circuit through town isn't so exciting. I wonder what the actual route will be. Could be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the profiles of each stage. When I find that out I'll decide what day to take off and visit.

It's a shame there's no stage from Hannibal to St. Charles instead of Jeff City. That would have been a cool stage, lots of fun hills. Though, there are some interesting points for hills on this route I can't picture any big ass climbs. So it'll be a fast race.

Now to wait to find out who races. I'm sure Dan Schmatz, and whatever team he's riding for (I can't remember) will ride. Navigator's? Toyota-United? I just don't know . . . Will be fun though.

Hey, the Tour de Georgia profiles are up. They're coming righ through B-ville on stage 1 this year which is pretty cool. Check it out at

Nice. Is that part of any of your routes? I'm hoping our tour comes close by. It's possible the ending of the 5th stage will be at our back door and I'll go downtown for the final day. Though two circuit finishes in a row might be boring, so I might go down the road a bit on Stage 5 to see the rush into town. A friend and I decided that since the ITT is in a really hilly area that we're going to drive the four hours and stay overnight to see it then the next day hit the start line of the next stage on our way home. See what we can see.

The Georgia ITT looks pretty cool. The profile looks rather cruel, especially with Brasstown Bald coming up the next day.

All things considered, I wonder who will give Tommy D a run for his money this year? I wonder if they'll have Levi riding in support of Tom, telling him to stay cool and not be a dork.

I've set my International goal for this year to be that Levi has a good year. He's the only rider I feel happy about getting behind for some reason.
