Regardless of the controversy in the comments, I shall show that photo to my 8 year-old. He doesn't have a problem with the helmet, really, but just to reinforce our rule, I guess.
p.s. You do know about "Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France" IMAX movie don't you? I saw a trailer for it at the Science Center on a field trip and wrote it down in the dark to make sure to remember.
My son's school had their Picnic and Walkathon on Friday, the Fire Dept. always comes to check and sell helmets--I printed out the article and the photo--they were all staring at it when I went outside.
